Susan Walters Married 'Y&R' Co-Star Linden Ashby After 3 Months; they had 2 children in their 36 years together (2023)

Susan Walters was so obsessed with fellow actor Linden Ashby, it didn't take long for the couple to get married. Since then, the couple have welcomed children into their union and are one of the longest-running couples in Hollywood.

Linden Ashby's acting career was still in its infancy when he met his wife, Susan Walters, a fellow actress. The duo met and fell in love in 1986 when they met on the set of "Loving."

The soap opera's setting was in New York, and in a previous interview, Linden noted how the odds favored them despite the city where they met and their professions. The couple fell in love very quickly.

Linden, born May 23, 1960, graduated from Jacksonville, Bolles High School, Florida, before majoring in psychology and business administration at Durango, Colorado, Fort Lewis College, which he dropped out his freshman year to act.

After moving to New York, she studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse. Linden landed minor roles, and in 1994, she appeared opposite Kevin Costner in "Wyatt Earp."

His prominent role was in the "Mortal Kombat" movies, where he played Johnny Cage. In 1997, he starred in "Blast" and the following year, he guest-starred on "Melrose Place" for 35 episodes.

Linden took pleasure inprotagonist of several soap operasin his acting career. As mentioned above, he appeared in "Loving" as Curtis Alden, in "Days of our Lives" as Paul Hollingsworth, and in "Y & R."

His fans probably know him best for his villainous role on "Y&R." Linden's wife was on the show as Diane Jenkins when the producers approached him about starring in the thirteen-episode series.

The character was so successful that he was asked to appear in more episodes. She was shooting a movie while starring in "Y & R" and had to try to split her time between the two productions.

Linden shared how acting on a soap opera was stressful, but also great for the actors because it was like being in a spontaneous live performance. She compared it to filming a play, but confessed that there wasn't much time to prepare and the scene was expected to be fixed quickly.

The family of four often split their time between staying in California and Atlanta, Georgia, and Linden once revealed that she had talked to her children aboutjoin showbiz. The actor said that he told them that he was fine with them getting together.

However, he demanded that they first receive an education. The family has strong ties and when they were in Atlantic Beach they visited Linden's mother, but also tried to see her sister, her nieces and nephews.

When he was in Atlantic Beach, the actor would go to "Pete's Bar" in Neptune Beach. He also visited the "Oyster Bar" and "Sliders Seafood Grille" in the area, and in Atlantic Beach he frequented "Tapas" and "Royal Palm Village Wine".

During their visit, Linden and her family hiked, biked and surfed. However, the actor has many other hobbies, including golf, windsurfing, tennis, diving, hunting, and horseback riding.
