Types and grains of diamond stones.
Diamond whetstones are generally divided into three categories based on the roughness of each. So we have Coarse which is used for very dull edges, Fine which is designed for sharpening slightly dull edges and Extra Fine to achieve a razor sharp edge on any blade.
The technology and material used to create diamond stones can also vary. Here we have micronized monocrystalline diamond surfaces which are very abrasive, those with MirrorFlat technology like SHARPAL 156N Diamond Whetstone and other variants.
